NGO Governance Charter
CONGOMA is in the process of finalizing the development and adoption of the NGO Governance Charter. The development of the Charter has been membership driven in order to provide for a robust framework that guides and checks NGO governance standards. The Charter will be implemented once the Annual General Meeting of all NGOs adopts it. It is expected that implementation of provision of the Charter shall greatly improve systems and controls in NGOs in Malawi.
Construction of an NGO Village
The Annual General Meeting of NGOs in 2012 identified lack of exclusive geographical space to house CONGOMA and its members and one of the biggest impediments of Civil Society sustainability. In this regard a special committee on the project is in place and land for the project is identified. Once implemented, the project will boost sustainability drive for Civil Society in Malawi.
