Today, 11th October, 2024 marks the end of the Sectoral workshops that are taking place at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre jointly organised by the Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare, NGO Regulatory Authority and Council for NGOs in Malawi in preparation for the NGO Day that will take place on 16th October, 2024 at Sanjika Palace Mini Stadium. The NGO Day that will be graced by His Excellency, The President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr Lazarus, McCarthy Chakwera will see NGOs that are working in this country display their work in form of Pavilions to be appreciated by the general public.
The Sectoral Workshops that started on Wednesday, 9th October, 2024, are focusing on; Best Practices and Collaboration, Policy Gaps, Sustainability/Localisation and Joint Financing Mechanisms.

Today’s presentations for Agriculture Sector are being done by; NPC, Ministry of Agriculture, Catholic Relief Services – on Agriculture Production and Productivity, SOS Children Village Malawi and Good Neighbours International – on Food and Nutrition Security, Christian Aid Malawi and Small Producers Development and Transporters Association (SPRODETA) – on Agriculture Commercialization, Agro-Processing and Value Addition, Total Land Care and Centre for Environmental Policy Advocacy (CEPA) – on Sustainable Management of Land, water and other Natural Resources, and Tilitonse Foundation and Eagles Relief – on Institution Development, Coordination, Capacity Strengthening and Risk Management.
